Make a Donation

Sarah has been struggling with a long term illness for over 2 years. When this mystery illness is identified then an appropriate medical charity will be chosen as the main recipient of the donations. Sarah was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2000, some of the donations will go to UK Diabetes charities to help to produce an artificial pancreas to make life much easier for the more than 1 million sufferers from type 1 in the UK. People with Type 1 diabetes never get a day off and they have to deal with up to 5 insulin injections per day and about the same number of fingerprick blood glucose tests. The mystery illness could be Ataxia so the Ataxia charity is included for donations. Their main aim is to raise awareness of this relatively unknown condition. Sarah had seen a Neurologist 3 weeks before she passed away and he was fairly confident in his initial diagnosis from external symptoms. He wanted an MRI scan of the brain & brain stem to confirm the diagnosis. This was due a week to 2 weeks after Sarah passed away. We both wanted answers to the questions we had had for over 2 years, we may have been very close to an answer. We still hope that the coroner's office investigations will provide these answers. Many Thanks for any donations you are able to provide, i am sure they will be very well used by both of the charities concerned.
